2010 Table Lodge

2010 Table Lodge

On January 26th 2010, Wayzata Masonic Lodge hosted a Table Lodge in honor of Robert Burn’s 251st birthday at Wayzata Country Club.  Robert Burns is the Poet Lauriat of Freemasonry. There were 44 people in attendance, including Most Worshipful Grand Master Thomas McCarthy, MWB Andrew Rice and several other members of Grand Lodge.  Our Master of Ceremonies was MWB Neil Neddermeyer, our Chaplin was the Grand Lodge Chaplin WB Steve Johnson.

Prior to each of the Seven Toasts, our sitting Wardens made diligent inspection of the cannons’ charge (the South generally more charged than the North); each seven toasts were given by a different brother, with the responses to the toasts ranging from a speech to singing a song, reading a poem to delivering flowers.  One toast of special note was modified to remember the people of Haiti and their struggles.  The response was a collection of money to be sent as part of the relief effort.  The nearly three hundred dollars collected will be matched and distributed by MN Masonic Charities.

Thank you to everyone who participated in an absolutely wonderful event.
